By the end of class on today, you will complete the assignment below as you watch the Discovering Ardi video:
Read the article below to answer the first question on the video notes:
Once you have completed the video, you will be assigned to do research on either Ardi or Lucy. The main Fakebook page (http://www.classtools.net/FB/home-page) will be setup for whichever hominid you are assigned. They will be having a conversation with the other Hominid, scientists, and any other prominent figures in the comment section, You will answer the questions listed below by including them in a Fakebook page. The questions that need to be answered are as follows:
- What did an Ardi or Lucy look like? (How tall, facial features, hair, etc.)
- Where did they live?
- Describe their environment.
- What did they eat?
- How did they get their food?
- How did they get around?
- Did they use any objects as tools?
- Did they make their own tools?
- Where were the first fossils of their type found? When?
- Who found the fossils? Describe and name that person’s occupation?
- An explanation as to why these fossil finds were significant to the theory of evolution.
